Frequently asked questions
Do you work as the electrical sub-contractor to ID firms and main contractors?
Yes. Most of our commercial work comes this way. We price from your drawings, work to your programme and coordinate directly with your project manager and the other trades.
How quickly can you quote?
Within 24 to 48 hours of receiving drawings for most fit-outs, itemised so your QS can compare it line by line.
Can you work at night or at weekends in an occupied building?
Yes. We phase works and price night or weekend shifts where the landlord's fitting-out rules call for them, and we have carried out overnight switchboard changeovers in occupied buildings.
Who endorses the installation and deals with EMA and SP Group?
Our own EMA-licensed Electrical Technicians design installations up to 150 kVA, and install, test and maintain installations up to 500 kVA. Above their limits we engage an independent Electrical Engineer as project LEW. Either way we handle the EMA submission and the SP Group turn-on for you.
What does my client receive at handover?
As-built drawings, test reports, the LEW certificate and an O&M manual, with a 12-month defects period during which the LEW stays contactable.
Do you also do lighting controls and data cabling?
Yes. We install DALI, KNX, Lutron and Casambi lighting controls and structured cabling, so power, lighting and data come from one contractor.
