Frequently asked questions
Do you handle the mall’s submissions?
Yes. We prepare the LEW-endorsed single-line diagram and the documents the mall’s consultants or LEW ask for, and arrange the permit-to-work the building requires. The switch-on itself is done with the landlord’s LEW, and the building’s own consultant and LEW often charge their fees separately.
Can you work within the mall’s hours?
Yes. Each mall sets its own hours for noisy works such as hacking and drilling, and some allow them only at night. We plan the programme around them.
What if the kitchen equipment changes?
Tell us as early as you can. Swapping gas for induction or adding a combi oven changes the three-phase isolators and the load, and extra load is at the landlord’s discretion.
Do you install the gas and exhaust systems?
No. Gas work is done by a licensed gas service worker, and exhaust and air-cleaning systems by their own specialists. We provide their power supplies and wire the interlocks the mall requires.
Who certifies the installation?
Our own EMA-licensed Electrical Technicians design installations up to 150 kVA, and install, test and maintain installations up to 500 kVA. Above their limits we engage an independent Electrical Engineer as project LEW.
