Why LEW-certified work matters

LEW-certified
Unsafe- RCD-protected. Licensed install: An RCCB cuts the supply on an earth fault. Unlicensed: No RCD: an earth fault stays live.
- Wired to SS 638. Licensed install: Cores to the SS 638 colour code. Unlicensed: Tangled, unsegregated conductors.
- No overload / fire risk. Licensed install: An MCB per circuit trips on overload. Unlicensed: A scorched terminal, running hot.
- LEW-certified & insurable. Licensed install: Tight terminations on labelled bars, ready for a Licensed Electrical Worker to test and certify. Unlicensed: Tight, labelled, ready for an LEW to certify.

Demo values, not a design: 415 V 3-phase, power factor 0.9, loads shaped by the time of day, currents from I = P / (√3 · V · pf). Trip times are shortened for the demo; a real MCCB follows its maker's time-current curve.

Good to know
Are your electricians licensed, and up to what size?
Yes. Two EMA-licensed Electrical Technicians (Grade 8 LEWs) are on our staff. They design installations up to 150 kVA and install, test and maintain installations up to 500 kVA; for larger jobs we engage an independent Electrical Engineer as project LEW.
Which registrations and certifications do you hold?
BCA Registered Firm (for public sector works) - ME05 (L1), SLOTS ME02 Electrical Engineering Works, ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001, and bizSAFE STAR.
Which lighting controls and data systems do you install?
DALI-2 addressable lighting, Casambi wireless control (with our integration partner), Lutron dimming and shading, and Cat6/Cat6A and fibre cabling by CommScope-certified installers.
Do you take homes and HDB flats as well?
Yes: lighting and power points, ceiling and exhaust fans, DB replacement and MCB upgrades, data points and LED retrofits for homes, HDB flats and condos.
